My name is Jenna Lingenbrink. I am a proud ʻ26 Kamehameha Schools graduate and a current freshman at Brown University. I have 2+ years of experience in 1:1 tutoring at UAchieve Hawaiʻi, and have worked with students ages 5-19 in different learning environments.
My teaching philosophy is built on the firm belief that strong language skills are the key to student success. From SAT preparation courses to college essay assistance, my sessions have encouraged over 50 students to view reading and writing from a new perspective.
I motivate each student to kūlia i ka nuʻu– strive to reach the summit. Your goal is my mission, and I look forward to helping you reach your highest potential!
My SAT verbal prep course is focused on familiarizing students with SAT style questions and teaching them how to approach them strategically. As students learn how to tackle this critical exam, they will be prepared to convert both new and pre-existing knowledge into a higher score.
Navigating the college admissions process is an overwhelming task for many high school juniors and seniors. However, personal essays are what make or break many applications. By pushing authentic and strategic writing, I aim to highlight each students' unique story and set them up for success.
Strong reading comprehension, grammar, and writing skills will give any student a leg up in academic and professional environments. Kūlia Learning is committed to tailoring this experience to each family and student's individual needs, no matter their age or current abilities.
